Wow, one year… one whole year I have been writing this blog! As I sit here typing, I am swaying in my chair and singing the lyrics to the 1990′s jam, “It’s Our Anniversary” by Tony! Toni! Toné!
However, I am replacing the word anniversary with blogoversary, because I am cool like that! It’s a damn good thing no one can see or hear me because I way waaay off key and the song in this context makes absolutely no sense!
For my blogoversary, I made The Pioneer Woman’s Italian Cream Cake, and let me tell you – this cake is fabulous!
If you follow me on twitter, you may remember my tweet about having a spoonful of this frosting for breakfast yesterday morning. I did omit the walnuts because Brian is allergic. Instead, I topping the cake with toasted coconut, and it is FAB!
For my blogoversary I wanted to put together a giveaway that would be comprised of some of my favorite things.
Pictured: Pinch bowls & Ice Cream Cone/Snow Cone Holders from Target Giant Piping Tips and Cupcake Liners from Bake It Pretty (I love this little company!) |

my goal is to learn more about my new DSLR. I want to learn how to use the manual settings and move away from the pre-programmed dials.
My goal for the next is to go back to work. Hopefully it will happen despite the economy.
Hi! I'm new here, but already a big fan. I found you via Bake it Pretty.
My goal for the year is to finally figure out how to make the perfect French Macaroon. I've seen them all over the blogs recently, but each time I've tried, it ends in failure. I must keep trying!
going on 3rd session of michael's cake decorating course 1 …goal is to do courses 2 & 3 in the coming year…and gum paste would be major.
My goals, wow, there are a lot of them are you sure you really want to know? I think more than big, broad goals more of my life mantra is to achieve a lot, be productive, learn a lot -but to live simply and enjoy the little things and stay happy! For the next year that just means improving myself, keeping the house cleaner, learning more about cooking and baking, being a better mom to my kids. Is that good?
I have one biggie goal for next year and that's to have a baby. Obviously it will be late next year (not even preggers yet!) but we're hoping! :)
HOLY COW! Now that's a lot of comments. You go girl.
Your Italian cream cake looks great! I've been wanting to try it.
Goal #1 learn how to balance (better) working fulltime, being a mom (& all that entails!) and doing things I like (baking & blogging).
Goal #2 schedule one on one time with each of my children AND my honey!
Wish me luck! Not with the contest but with my goals. Time management outside of work has never been my strong suit!
Happy blogoversary, Jamie! Here's too another great year for you & My Baking Addiction!

What fun prizes….
One of my "to do" is to complete my son's Air Force scrapbook. I have all of the supplies but it is just a matter of getting it done.
I hope to at least finish sewing what's on my sewing table… and a few more projects. With a baby on the way… we'll see if that's possible.
My goal is as simple and basic as my baking; I want to learn how to bake, in general :)
