Wow, one year… one whole year I have been writing this blog! As I sit here typing, I am swaying in my chair and singing the lyrics to the 1990′s jam, “It’s Our Anniversary” by Tony! Toni! Toné!
However, I am replacing the word anniversary with blogoversary, because I am cool like that! It’s a damn good thing no one can see or hear me because I way waaay off key and the song in this context makes absolutely no sense!
For my blogoversary, I made The Pioneer Woman’s Italian Cream Cake, and let me tell you – this cake is fabulous!
If you follow me on twitter, you may remember my tweet about having a spoonful of this frosting for breakfast yesterday morning. I did omit the walnuts because Brian is allergic. Instead, I topping the cake with toasted coconut, and it is FAB!
For my blogoversary I wanted to put together a giveaway that would be comprised of some of my favorite things.

my grand goal is to practice 'forgiveness'. my cooking/baking goal is pancakes. I make horrible pancakes. Once I master them it will on to the next ??? BTW a big, fat congrats on one year.
My goal is to learn how to make sweets and not eat all of them! Is it possible?
My goal is to buy a cake pan and make an actual cake! I always make cupcakes because I still don't have any cake pans-I'm 32 years old, with no cake pans? Anyways, congrats on your blog and thanks for the giveaway! (love your pics!)
happy anni! well, these aren't baking-related, but my goals of the year are to take my comps for grad school and start my dissertation prospectus. i like to procrastinate, um, i mean, expand my horizons beyond nineteenth-century french literature, by baking, so i'm sure this giveaway would help in my endeavors. :)
I hope to get my recipes in a cookbook of some type. With hundreds of cookbooks, blogs that I follow, family hand me down recipes, and hundreds of clipped recipes… Oh my! I am hopping to try to find a better way to organize!
Congrats on your blogoversary!
Happy Blogoversary! :) In a month I am going to leave my job to stay home with my daughter. Aside from being with her and taking care of our little family, what I am most looking forward to is perfecting my baking skills enough to know how to 'make up' my own recipe.
