If you follow My Baking Addiction on Facebook or Instagram, you may have already gotten a little glimpse of our sweet baby girl – Estelle Blais.
I totally had every intention of introducing you to Elle in the days following her arrival, but I honestly didn’t want to take my eyes off of her. And as it turns out, recovering from a c-section and then a tooth infection 3 days after giving birth is well – for the birds.
Elle was breech and due to my elevated blood pressure and the insane swelling that had settled on me from the waist down, my doctor decided to schedule a c-section 2 weeks early.
Elle made her appearance on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 9:24AM weighing in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and a whopping 22.5 inches long.
She’s perfection and it’s hard for Eric and I to imagine our lives before her.
In the days before Elle’s birth, my mom (Granny) tried to explain the emotion and amount of love that parents experience after having a child, but she stopped short, paused and simply said that it’s indescribable and we couldn’t agree more.
I want to thank those you that have reached out to say congratulations through social media and email. We’re soaking it all in – every single sleepless second and couldn’t be happier or more in love with our baby girl.

congrats to your family…continue to enjoy every precious moment
CONGRATS!!
What a darling little cutie-patootie!!
Congrats Jamie, she is beautiful!
I feel your pain with a C-section. i went through 8 hours of labor then had a c-section because our daughters heart rate went from 186-60 in a second. I was on bed rest though for 9 weeks after because my wound didn’t close correct.
Point is. Enjoy every single moment with your new little girl it’s true what they say, it goes by way too fast. Ours is already 15 months this weekend. Best of luck.
Congratulations, she is beautiful and precious……enjoy!
Oh friend – I am so so so happy for you…and know exactly that “heart outside of your body” feeling. You are going to be a great mom (well you already are!).
Congrats!!!
Beautiful baby! Hope you feel more normal soon! :)
Congratulations! Welcome, baby Elle!
She’s beautiful! Enjoy her! Try to get some rest. She is the most important thing in your life right now. Forget about everything else except you & your little family. Congratulations and many blessings!
