Happy Valentine’s Day, lovelies! If you’re a total procrastinator like myself, you might currently be in a minor state of pink induced panic. No worries – I got you covered with a super easy recipe for Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies topped with Dove Strawberry Cream Swirl candies.
Although most of the recipes that I share with you on MBA are from scratch, I love having a few semi-homemade recipes in my arsenal for those moments when I’m a little lazy or a little last minute.
I’m sharing the recipe with you on the brand new site, Food Fanatic. The site is brimming with delicious recipes from some of my absolute favorite bloggers. Head over, print the recipe, and have these Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies whipped together in no time.
And if you’re in a Valentine’s Day kinda mood, feel free to leave me a little comment love over on Food Fanatic so I don’t look like a total loner.

Did anyone actually mix these up? Right now I’m looking at a mixture that looks more like cake batter than cookie dough. The batter just spreads out when I put it on the cookie sheet. Sigh, I’ll add mor flour.

I have made this recipe more times than I can count. The batter should definitely not be spreading. Can you tell me which brand of cake mix you used? Here is the recipe from the Duncan Hines site from which I adapted my from: http://www.duncanhines.com/recipes/cookies-bars/hackshins/cake-mix-cookies/

I used Betty Crocker Devil’s Food cake mix. I added 1/2 cup of flour and it worked better. Maybe the fact I’m in Denver…
These look delicious!!

These look adorable! Definitely perfect for those times when I’m a little too last minute or have unexpected company!
