Hey MBA readers, I hope you all had an amazing Monday! Today is one of the best Mondays ever because I am officially done with work until the end of August. This is the first summer that I haven’t gone to school or worked a part time job. I couldn’t be more excited to be able to blog full time for a few months, so get ready for some recipes!

If you follow MBA on a regular basis, you may remember a recipe that I posted last week for Homemade Cherry Pie Filling using fresh cherries. Well, I promised you that I had some great recipes coming your way and today, I am here to fulfill that promise with a recipe for Fresh Cherry Crisp in Jars. I am obsessed with these Weck Jars right now and I am constantly looking for an excuse to use them – plus, the portability factor is a bonus.

The recipe is super simple, but it’s not posted here, instead it’s guest posted on My Kitchen Addiction. Jen, the writer and photographer behind My Kitchen Addiction had surgery last week and some of her food blogging friends offered to help her out with posts while she is recuperating.

Jen’s blog is full of delicious recipes like Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream (um…yes, please), Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies and plenty of main dishes that will help you add some fantastic recipes to your current repertoire.

Head over to My Kitchen Addiction and check out the recipe for Cherry Crisp in Jars. While your there, be sure to wish Jen a speedy recovery.

Thanks for guest blogging Jamie. That way we get to check out other blogs that we don’t know about. I look forward to opening my computer each day and finding your blog in my email. Looking forward to more wonderful recipes all summer long.
If anyone knows any great slow cooker meals, my granddaughter would appreciate any help ya’ll can give her. She signs papers on her new house on June 27th.Working 2 jobs and going to school leaves no time to cook.
    Thank ya’ll so much .

Wow, I’m loving the Weck jars as well and especially the Terrain website – they have a number of bee and tea towels goodies both items that friends of mine are always looking for. Thanks for the link. And thanks to Valerie to the heads up about the Weck Website itself : D
Jamie as always your photos are mouthwatering !

I love Weck jars, too! You can get them cheaper by ordering directly from Weck at WeckCanning.com. The jars you linked to are $18 for 4 on Terrain.com and only $13.55 for 6 at Weck.

@Savorique – you can get plastic “keep fresh” lids for the Weck jars at WeckCanning.com also – look under Accessories.

The Weck jars are gorgeous but I wish there was a good lid that seals well… Any tip welcome!
