I started taking cake decorating classes through Wilton, so I have been hanging out in the baking aisle of Michael’s on a pretty regular basis. This activity is fun for me, but not so fun for my bank account.
I have a bunch of 40% and 50% off coupons from Michael’s and I feel as though these damn coupons send me in to a buying frenzy. I need to practice a little self-control when I enter the store this evening in hopes that I do not come home with more random stuff that I have no room for!
One of those random purchases was a silicone Brownie Bite Pan. Although this was a complete impulse buy, I love it SO much and I am glad I purchased it!
If you want one of your own, enter my blogoversary giveaway!
After the brownies cooled, I dipped them into a scrumptious pool of ganache and topped them with a tiny fondant daisy (another impulse buy). I thought these came out cute and were the perfect bite-sized snack for co-workers on the go!
These photos were taken with my new 50mm 1.4 lens. I really like this lens a bunch, but need a lot more practice with it! Check me out on twitter for a small twitter only giveaway as a thanks to my followers!
Now for the CNS sponsored giveaway for a Bubble & Brown 2-Piece Stoneware Baker by Rachel Ray.
Drum roll, please! The winner is Sara, of the blog Cupcake Muffin. Congratulations, Sara!!! I am sure you will love this bakeware as much as I do!!
Brownie Bites
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Spray the Brownie Bite pan with nonstick cooking spray and place the silicone pan on a cookie sheet.
3. In a medium bowl combine melted butter and cocoa and stir until cocoa is dissolved.
4. Add sugar and mix well.
5. Add eggs one at a time and stir until well combined.
6. Stir in vanilla, flour and salt until you no longer see any flour (do not over-mix).
7. Spoon or pipe into Brownie Bite Pan and bake (keep silicone pan on cookie sheet while in oven) for approximately 15 minutes (I started checking mine at 10 minutes). Do not over bake.

Love the brownie bites. I bet I couldn't stop at just one or two or three:)
YAY! :) So excited! Thanks so much for doing the contest! Also, the brownie bites look super tasty!! :)
OMG I know what you mean about those darn coupons. Just this past Saturday I was racing to the store. I have my son with his two coupons and me with my two coupons. So that I can buy 4 things. Now that is 50% off. They were about to expire and I was not about to miss out on this. It is a sickness I tell you. I have been wanting to get brownie items and haven't now seeing your stuff I have to have them lol.
WOw those are just SOOO cute!!!! Congreats to the winner!! :)
Those are pretty much the cutest things that I've ever seen!
I feel like that about ACMoore coupons. They kill my wallet.
Very cute dessert. I've had my eye on that brownie pan but haven't broken down and bought it just yet.
Thanks for sharing your props too. I always notice those on folks' pages and wonder where they found their stash of napkins, etc.
I bought the brownie bites pan as well. I used them to make square cake balls
Congrats to the winner! Your brownie bites are adorable! I know exactly what you mean, when I get Michael's or JoAnn coupons I feel like I need to run right out and use them…I try to tell myself that it really isn't a bargain if I don't need what I'm buying, but I usually get suckered in anyway! :)
These brownie bites are SO cute! When I took the Wilton courses, all my money went to Michael's because of those 50% off coupons! Something about 50% off makes me feel like it's okay for me to buy more. :)
congrats to the winner!!!
Adorable bites. I to stock up on the 50% off coupons and buy everything I DONT NEED!
